Mr. Fortune Oyadonghan, who used to lead the Delta G-25, a group inside the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has guided a team of six political parties from all 25 local areas of Delta State to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The people who switched parties came from the All Progressives Congress (APC), All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Action Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the ADC before the upcoming 2027 elections.
Daily Trust says that ever since the group against the current government chose the ADC as their way to go against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections, the ADC has been getting new members from various political parties.
Oyadonghan, who announced the names of those who had switched parties at the PTI Conference Centre in Effurun, Warri, Delta State, stated that they moved to the ADC to fight against the current leading party, which he claimed has brought suffering to the people of Nigeria.
He made it clear that those who left their former parties had decided to fully participate in the ADC’s plan to save Nigeria and prevent it from completely falling apart.
Welcoming the new members, David Mark, the temporary national leader of the ADC, whose place was taken by Elder Festus Igbinoba, the party’s National Chief Whip, mentioned that the ADC is expected to win in 2027.
He noted that the party is currently concentrating on bringing people back together, raising awareness, getting people involved, and strongly encouraging people to join.
